Forklift Steering Valve

Forklift Steering Valve

around the web

Forklift Steering Valve - A valve is a device which controls the flow of a fluid like for instance slurries, fluidized gases or regular gases, liquids, by closing, partially obstructing or opening some passageways. Valves are generally pipe fittings but are typically discussed as a separate category. In instances where an open valve is concerned, fluid flows in a direction from higher to lower pressure.

Valves are utilized in many applications such as military, industrial, residential, transport and commercial businesses. Some of the major industries that depend on valves include the oil and gas sector, mining, chemical manufacturing, power generation, water reticulation and sewerage.

In daily activities, the most popular valves are plumbing valves as seen for the reason that it taps for tap water. Other popular examples include small valves fitted to washing machines and dishwashers, gas control valves on cookers, valves within car engines and safety devices fitted to hot water systems. In nature, veins within the human body act as valves and regulate the blood circulation. Heart valves even regulate the flow of blood in the chambers of the heart and maintain the proper pumping action.

Valves can be worked in a variety of ways. For instance, they could be worked either by a lever, a handle or a pedal. Valves could be driven by changes in pressure, flow or temperature or they can be automatic. These changes can act upon a piston or a diaphragm which in turn activates the valve. Several popular examples of this kind of valve are seen on boilers or safety valves fitted to hot water systems.

There are more complex control systems using valves that need automatic control which is based on external input. Like for instance, controlling flow through a pipe to a changing set point. These situations normally require an actuator. An actuator will stroke the valve depending on its input and set-up, that enables the valve to be positioned precisely while allowing control over different requirements.
